General Info & Requirements
There is not much we can do in terms of changes in our menu however we can polish and make it more responsive.
One of the things which can be amended is to be able to make it always expanded if the user desired to have visibility or he can decide to make it always collapsed and be expanded only on hover.
A good example is Jira menu:
Also we will need to add additional options in the menu because we have missing important links like: Magento2 Connector, FTP Credentials, Marketplace Feeds, Taxonomy, Lookup Lists, History…
The purpose of this documents is to describe how Menu in Hemi 3.0 will look. The main changes are:
- Expand/Collapse button
- Section “Connectors“ will be add
- Some of the subsections will be removed
- Some subsections will be added
- Faster and more efficient for users to scan
Requirements:
- Intuitive - This means to be simple enough, in order users could immediately tell where to find their desired information;
- Clearly Labeled
- To be deep, not wide - Sections and Sub-sections
- Collapsible - for utilizing space as best as possible
- Different color for better distinction - Already opened category to be displayed in different color (example only: if the menu is grey, when user open Product section, this section to be colored in purple, or sth else. TBD)
