How to check Email Provider and DNS Provider?

Connecting your support email address with Onsite is mandatory as it would allow you to receive your customer emails as tickets, to ensure you benefit from having all customer requests at one place.

An Email Provider is a company or service that offers email hosting and management, allowing users to create, send, receive, and store email messages. Popular email providers include Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook.

A DNS (Domain Name System) provider is a service or company enabling users to access websites and online resources by using human-friendly domain names instead of numeric IP addresses. Popular DNS providers include Cloudflare, Google Cloud DNS, and Amazon Route 53.

How to find your Email Provider?

The first step would be to determine your email provider. Please follow the steps below:

1) Access the MX Email Lookup

2) Enter your email domain name. Example: Enter onsitesupport.io if your support email is [email protected]

3) Click on MX Lookup

Once the page loads, you should be able to see who your email service provider is.

Based on the example we shared above, this shows the email provider being Gmail and we will proceed with setting up the Onsite Support email through the Gmail Configuration.

How to find your DNS Provider?

The second step would be to determine your DNS provider. Please follow the steps below:

1) Access the MX DNS Lookup

2) Enter your email domain name. Example: Enter onsitesupport.io if your support email is [email protected]

3) Click on DNS Lookup

Once the page loads, you should be able to see who the DNS provider is.
