Zip attachments for non supported filetypes

Archived Jon Herbert 3 years ago

Hi,

We have a userbase with a diverse selection of filetypes that we need to look at occasionally in order to help support them. They are primarily DJs so these files are things like .nml, .m3u/.m3u8, .crate etc.

However, these can't be attached to our forum - would it be possible to zip/compress files that aren't supported natively by the forum? I realize this may produce security concerns, but I'm sure there are supported filetypes that could contain malicious code anyway.

Thank you

Hello Jon,

You can control what file types to accept by going to Administration - Applications. Find Attachments app and click on settings. There you will set accepted file types.
