Integrated search field for easier searching

Archived Guest 11 years ago

Currently users need to select from Share an idea, report a problem, ask a question and say thanks - is there a need to have this selected up-front? Couldn't the user simply enter what they're looking for into 1 general search field, much like help.getpocket.com?

This will become even more practical when a Knowledgebase is implemented in a future release (which I'm hanging out for!), allowing users to enter whatever they want (whether it is a question, suggestion or problem) and results could be displayed based on relevance from items/posts across all areas (ideas, problems, questions, knowledgebase) and allow filtering by each section if desired.

I think users would find this method simpler to use and easier to find what they're looking for, but I'd certainly be interest in hearing your thoughts.

We already have that feature starting from 1.0.1 release. You can try searching for topics in Widget on our Home page by opening left-side widget or you can try to search inside quick add/search area and you'll get results before it will be advised for you to add new response in case you didn't find any.

If there are no results found - you'll be automatically redirected to adding response page.
