Improve filtering

Archived Henrik Goldman 9 years ago

Using https://help.useresponse.com as an example:

So lets say you want to find the issues "Under Consideration" from the category System.

1. First I click on Topics

2. Since I go from top to buttom then I click on All Categories and choose System.

3. I then go to the left side and choose Under Consideration.

4. I start wondering if it's a bug or not because my selection of Category is now lost.

5. So I click Categories once again.

See the problem? This is somewhere been a feature request and a bug because it's not obvious behavior.

We've improved filtering with our new reports section, where you can select any field of the object and save report for yourself, make custom report or for any support agent.

This is available in 3.1 release + fixed minor bugs with topics list on users view.

Henrik,

That is a good point, and we've thought of improving filtering. We've already done that in new Reports section and in topics list along with multi-edit features that will be available in 3.1

In our dev environment we use new filtering for more than a month and are satisfied with results. So expect it to get in better way on topics list section and very detailed and extended way in Reports section with ability to create custom reports with ready filters for each agent :)
