All Categories disappear for "Users" when there is a Private category

Archived Lukáš H. 12 years ago

we have a category in our useresponse instance. However when we create new category with visibility:Private then all the categories disappear for users.

It means that we either cannot use private categories. Or our users won't be able to see any category. Seems as bug in "UseResponse version: 2.1, Corporate"

Now I tested it with the latest installer from yesterday (there should be some build number as the installer changes even between 2.x versions) and problem seems fixed.

I just re-downloaded from license manager and compared it to my previous download of 2.1. The only files that I see different are \index.php (change to temp files path) and an updated jQuery mobile.

Was there a change since the initial 2.1 download that might fix this issue (as Lukas seems to have experienced)? If not, we can provide access to assist your debugging.

Chris,

Could you please send FTP/System admin access to support(at)useresponse.com or share it as hidden info here?

Chris,

We've fixed the issue on your server. 2.2 release will include it

Stas, I think I lost this fix when I upgraded to the 2.2 beta. I'm comparing the file in 2.1 and 2.2 and it appears the same. I forgot to back up the version that you fixed for me :(

Chris,

We are releasing 2.3 release really soon - in couple of days where you'll have the fix integrated. As of now, please clean cache under Administration - it should work if you are on 2.2
