Widget does not post what I have written in the box
I have implemented the widget on my web site, looks good, shows posts that are in the database all good.
But if I write something in the box and push the button, my uservoice site is loaded with the "Start new response" form but without what I have written in the Widget.
What could be wrong? A know bug perhaps?
Also, found another bug here now on your UseResponse, when I wrote my title the system searches and shows me 5 hits, could not find it so I clicked "see more results", those loaded but now what I wrote previously is gone so I must start all over again?
We couldn't reproduce these bugs in our system.
Could you please point out at your page with widget so we can check on your installation? Also, if you don't have at least 4-5 responses the search won't work, as it's limitation of MYSQL.
Aslo regarding 2nd bug - we tried the same just writing "company" on home page, hit enter and get 5 results with the link to 3 more. Clicked on 3 more results link and got to the page with company search query and all results found.
Please let me know what browser and OS are you using, so we could reproduce the bugs.

It's hard to show you because you need to login, and if that was not enough, it's on our development server so it's not reachable at all outside our network...
Anyway, why I posted second thing here, was because maybe it's related? I Use a Mac with FF 12.0.
Steps to reproduce;
1) On your first page, type "company" in "Share an idea" and hit continue
2) Click on "3 more results"
3) 8 results are shown, none what I wanted so I want to add new idea;
a) I could hit the button "New response" (the textbox to the left still has "Company" in it, the for share a new idea loads, but my text is lost.
b) Do step 1-3 and instead hit back in the browser since nothing fits, first page loads, but "Company" is gone.
So, in both case, my text is lost. Might be related to the widget problem?

As I see it's not related to any problems in system. When you first type company in quick search/add area, you get results, and at the bottom-right there is "New Response" button, so if you click it, you'll be forwarded to adding response with title inside.
In your case, you get results for the search and we didn't know if you just searched it or used quick search box, so I don't see the usage of the option to transfer the parameter to search and then new response, except that you have blank results. You can just copy/paste the search query and click on new response

OK, then it's by design, confused me anyway... As both buttons are called "New response", and in both screens my text is visible. To me it's obvious my text should follow me into the form where I type the idea in both cases? Please see screen dumps.

Mans,
We've thought of changing the default wording on below "New Response" button, but finally stayed with it as is now. Anyway, we'll be working on UI tweaks all the time according to set priority of features in roadmap

Ok, I am fine with that, now you know anyway, and what you do with the info is up to you - that's the whole point of tools like UR - it's definitely the way forward for most online projects.
