When using the useresponse widget on a SSL encrypted site, every resource from the usereponse server

Archived Jutta K. 12 years ago

My main site is using the HTTPS protocol for every page. To get rid of the "unsecure resources" browser warnings when embedding the useresponse widget, i had to enable SSL/HTTPS on my useresponse installation as well.

So far so good, the (not yet opened) useresponse button transfers everything over HTTPS.

But when i click the button to open the widget, many resources are load from my usereponse server over standard HTTP which renders a warning message (Chrome) or even worse omits the whole stylesheets on Internet Explorer 9 (See screenshot).

It would be nice when the usereponse widget could determine wheather the used protocol is HTTPS and then get all resources over HTTPS instead of HTTP.

if you have valid certficates on both domains or locations where useresponse is installed and your website where widget is located. Both should work fine.

The only thing you need to do for your UR to load with https is to change in config file the baseurl - applicatiion/config/application.inc

Hi Stas,

ok thanks. I wasn't aware of that base url setting.

There was just one problem with the aplication/templates/share.phtml file.

I had to replace two links to twitter and facebook with the corresponding https versions.
