Use as a private community
I've managed to set up a private community by using various settings. Mostly private objects, requiring login, and requiring categories, but also removing things like Statistics from the front page.
A couple of small issues left, and was hoping you could point me in the right direction.
1) when logging a new idea the user is given the option to log it as public or private. This is no longer relevant as they have to associate it with a private Category and so it will always be private. Where do I find this block to remove it?
2) When a user goes to Ideas > All Ideas the filter is set to Public ideas by default, so nothing appears. Can I remove the public option and set to Private by default?
Thanks
Richard,
Now UseResponse supports private communities. So you can check that option in General Settings and it would be closed community accessed only by registered users

1. The "private" module adds visibility block on new response form. You can find such code area in file: /application/modules/private/handlers/Events.php
2. Use the "Find" in your IDE to find the proper code line among files where visibility filter is implemented. Definitely it is in "private" module.

Kris,
To make the community private, please go to Administration -> Settings (General tab), then find "Private Community" option and click "Yes" to activate.

In order to use this option in cloud version, you need to have addon - Private community https://www.useresponse.com/addons
