T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM installation error

Archived Hiroshi Sasakura 10 years ago

I am trying to install the free package onto a system with PHP 5.2.17 installed.

The hosting provider claimed that Zend Optimizer 3.3.9 is also installed (any way to check?)

After I uploaded the zip package and extracted it, I open the mydomain.com/installation and try to install.

However I got this error message:

---------------------------

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /home/username/public_html/mydomain.com/installation/index.php on line 1564

---------------------------

I googled about the "T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM" and it looks like it's about the "double colon" inside the code.

However I'm not a coding person so I have absolutely no idea about this...

Can anyone please help?

Thanks in advance.

It's required Php 5.3 and Zend Guard Loader in order to install free package. Corporate edition doesn't need Zend Guard Loader and works on Php 5.3, 5.4, 5.5

More details in system requirements

Starting from Free 2.3.6 - no Zend Guard Loader is required!
