Running the 3.0.2 beta I cannot set the category usage to required in following admin screen..

Running the 3.0.2 beta I cannot set the category usage to required in following admin screen..


...baserurl/admin/categories


The updating icon appears but continues indefinitely.


Is there a way to configure this in files rather than via interface??

Do you see that option at admin/categories or it's not working for you?

I can see the option. When I select required I see the buffering icon next to the button, as though the system is trying to write to a file or committ something to the database. But the buffering never finishes. It doesn't matter how long Ieave the browser.


If I leave the page and return to it later, the change is never stored.

Could you please take latest build of 3.0.2 at Licenses page and replace files in application folder? Then clean browser cache and try again.

Doesn't seem to help.


Also noticed that switching options multiple times cause multiple icons to appear.

Richard,

You can change that setting directly in database in "settings" table:

  1. config_category_required

The values could be either 1 or 0
