Native-SMTP Mail Issue

I'm having an issue successfully sending an email via UR. I haven't had a successful result using Native or with SMTP (although I get an SMTP "Connection Works!" message. Also, I'm not sure where I can trap any of the SMTP responses that come from the server to trouble shoot the issue. I've tried both the patches that appeared in other mail-related threads - still no luck.

See Spam in your e-mail box and also try to check your e-mail after 30 minutes pass. Sometimes there is a delay in e-mail boxes.

The problem maybe because you are using solution internally that is behind some firewall. Others don't report such issues with 2.3.x releases.
