LDAP Settings for Windows AD integration

Archived Bill J 10 years ago

I'm setting up UseResponse for the first time. So far, I have been unable to get a successful logon using LDAP and the LDAP config docs provided. I think (not sure) that the configuration doesn't have any method for the request to come from an authenticated user on the LDAP server? (For example, on other LDAP reliant systems on our network, we create an user and give it rights to read the LDAP for the purpose of making the queries.)

You don't need to create user or any permissions. UseResponse only tries to authenticate user that already exists in LDAP accounts recordset.

If user is successfully authenticatedб UseRespone takes user data and registers new user with taken data in database.

Next time you're login via LDAP, UseResponse will use registered user from internal database.

Make sure that "Username Mapping" parameter is correct for your case.

Username Mapping (ex: cn, uid) - specify what field (container) has user record to authenticate against;
