Is there a way of forcing all ideas to be logged with the visibility as 'private' ??

Title says it all really - we would like to remove the 'normal' option and all ideas initially to be deemed 'private' is that possible

Hello Tina,

Could you please explain the goal you want to reach with that option? If you want to use system for internal usage, you can switch on Closed Community setting in 3.x beta release.

hi, trying to stop users logging and viewing ideas until we can validate their account and grant the correct permissions - will read up about the closed community. Thanks

Yes, just turn on moderation in Administration - Settings. More details are here.
