Change topic type / add custom type

It appears that the list of topic types (announcement, idea, problem, thanks etc) can't be amended, other than to add or remove.

Is there a way to change the title of a type, or add a custom type?

The types are almost perfect for us, but we're also keen to record positive feedback - it's sometimes as useful to hear what's working well as it is to know what can be improved.

('Thanks' is the closest, but it's not quite the same.)

Thanks for sharing the idea.

There is no possibility to create new type of object in the system, but you can rename every of it as you like.

Go to Administration - Languages, enter the name of the object, e.g. Thanks, and rename it to the required name.

Thanks very much for the quick response, it's very helpful.

I've tried that and it works up to a point -- the 'Thanks' label has changed to 'Positive feedback'.

However, when I add an item of positive feedback, the confirmation on screen, and by email, still says 'New thanks created'. Is there anything I can do to change that?

you need to rename all related expressions with "thanks" to "positive feedback".

After creating a new positive feedback you could see on the screen next message:
