Apache proxy

Archived Eduardo R. 13 years ago

We're trying to use a Apache Proxy for the UseResponse page. So, user would access forum.universo.mobi, and f-universo.dreamhosters.com would be masked.

It works, except for the links. When we try to make the links work, comes a redirect loop. Any idea how can I change the links to use the correct domais without mess with the licence code?

Eduardo,

You need to open /index.php and comment two lines - 59 and 60 with //

We just didn't think that someone will use apache proxy, as it's self-hosted solution and can be located anywhere, so that is the benefit in comparison to Saas.

BTW,

Did you change baseurl to http://forum.universo.mobi in application.ini stated in instructions here ?

Could you please paste link example so we could check it?

Also, you can make it work changing DNS entries as parked domain, so you'll make your new host display as old one where actually UR is installed.

Eduardo,

Were you success with Apache Proxy or you need assistance so we could help you set it up?

As I said, another simpler way to transfer system at the actual location if you can't make it work or we can look through your situation in more details.

Our tech guys are with this task, now. Maybe, they'll post some other questions here.

Thanks for the help.
