Limit number of votes per user
The site looks great, I want to sign up, but have noticed two problems:
a. some users might vote up everything.
b. the average user might see how easy it is to vote and not care about voting.
I want to ideally do something like what dreamhost's suggestions does - give users 10 votes to start and add 1 vote per month that they are a member, or what dropbox's votebox does - give users 6 votes per month. Even just giving a fixed limit of 10 votes would be better than an unlimited number of votes.
Basically, we are hoping that scarcity in votes drives up demand for wanting to vote and also wanting to tell others about voting for the feature that they care about.

We don't think it is something that we are going to do, as we do want people to vote for what they think they should vote for as primarily they will benefit from it and the limitation here is registration. Some users are asking for anonymous votes, comments and responses, but we can't be flexible to everyone.
Sorry, but as of now we don't see that incorporated in the near future. The best you can do is to extended that feature with written module as system is open source.

I think, the best solution to do this is assigning votes per month, week, whatever. Similar to Votebox https://www.dropbox.com/votebox

We think of it as a playground - not more as of now, as loyal community is limited in other ways by voting for specific response.
Maybe we'll do it in future, but definitely not this year. Most likely it would be more preferable for someone to write that as a module and share it in Extras Area
