Language code for language-country

Archived Eduardo R. 13 years ago

Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br) and Portuguese Portuguese (pt-pt) has some minimal differences, but they exist. Same with en-us and en-uk.

At this moment, the system doesn't allow this kind of code.

Syntax for locale code is a bit different from what you tried to enter. It should be: pt_PT, pt_BR, en_US, en_GB.

Here's the list of valid local codes.

I tried pt_br, but not pt_BR. Thanks!

Changing to pt_BR make the language locked and I can't edit it.

Confirmed. We are working on this problem. For now you can try renaming the folder in "application/localization" that has the name of code name your translation had before assigning it with pt_BR as temp. measure.

For example:

- if you had language with code "ru" renamed to "pt_BR", go to application/localization and rename folder named "ru" to "pt_BR".

P.S. Thank you for valuable feedback, your reports are really helpful.

I just let "pt", as don't intend and don't have the knowledge to translate to pt_PT.

Thanks!

We have made language selection from the list in 1.0.1 so there will be only available locales shown!

This bug still exists, i tried choosing de_DE for german language which did not load. Switched the code to de - then it worked. Don't know where the problem lies here.
