I have looked at the API documentation and I haven't found anything to suggest that you can authenticate from a 3rd party application using API calls, however, I wanted to ask the question to make sure.
Authentication via API is not available in UseResponse.
All the actions that passed via API will be associated with API key user if user has appropriate privileges. Currently there are no ways to change for example response author's id.
