There are 2 methods of updating system to the next version. Automated process - new version of UseResponse with several clicks right inside system. Manual update is also easy and will require 5 minutes of your time.

Once you are notified about release of new version in Agents bar, click on "Update" button.
System will notify you if any of the requirements on writable folders are not met.
In opened popup, you'll see the list of changes done in new release. After review click on "Continue" button and enter Admin credentials.
System will check if you have valid license, update database and will offer optional "Rebuild Indexes" procedure. We highly recommend to rebuild indexes each time system is update in order to have good performance.
If something goes wrong with update, please restore db from backup stored in /work folder
Downloaded latest release of UseResponse on "My Account" page
In downloaded archive, please find folder with release located in /application folder. Using FTP client, upload this folder to /application on your server.
Example: New release is 3.1, so you need to take only 3.1 folder from archive and upload it to application folder on your server, so that it would look like /application/3.1
In browser, please go to your UseResponse installation by adding /upgrade. For example, www.mysystem.com/upgrade
System will notify you if something goes wrong with writable folders that you should resolve before moving to the next step.
Then enter your admin credentials and system will update database.
In order to complete update. please clean all files in /cache folder and right inside system, Rebuild Indexes at Administration page.
