A more intuitive search field

Archived Peter M. 7 years ago

I have had some problems to understand how to start a search here in the UR forum. There is no visible field to type in. I like to propose a search function implementation as I have seen it at http://dailynous.com/

Thanks for listening ;-)

We already have almost the same search feature - here is the example

Please let us know if you mean something else.

Hello Stas

I knew this function.

I wanted to say that - through my eyes! - the current implemention is not very user friendly: If I click on "Search" nothing happens. There is now re-action (cursor blinking, new windows etc.) which tells me "OK, begin to type!".

You may answer, that there is a cursor blinking! - and you are right with this. But you can hardly discover the cursor:

The contrast ratio is according to Github only 1.6, it should be at least 4.5

Peter

Hello Peter, Thank you for clarification. We would consider changing it by default in future releases. You can change the look and feel of it in My Interface if required.
